Lancashire Youth Grand Prix 2011 – Under 18’s & Under 16’s
Lancashire County Pool Association have announced the dates for the Lancashire Youth Grand Prix Series for 2011.

| Entry: | Open to ANY youth player resident in Lancashire, Deane & Daubhill or Wigan who is under 18 years old. Inter-County age restrictions apply (i.e. a player should be under 18 yrs old on the 31st Dec 2010). You cannot enter both competitions. |
| Entry fee: | £7.00 per event or £15.00 for all 3 events if paid in advance or at Event 1. Cheque/postal order to be made payable to Lancashire County Pool Association. |
| Play: | Registration 11.30am; matches to start at 12.00pm. |
| Rules: | Played to World 8-ball Pool Rules. Dress code does not apply to this tournament. |
| Points: | Winner 10, Runner Up 8, Semi Finalist 6, Quarter Finalist 4, last 16’s 2, last 32’s 1 |
| Prizes: |
The Top 4 players in each category will compete in the Regional Finals on 21st August for the opportunity to win a place in the National Finals on 24th September |
Lancashire Youth team are Region 2 Champions
Darwen Pool Association would like to send their congratulations to the Lancashire Youth team following succesfully winning the Region 2 County Youth League.
The team, which includes Darwen’s Jamie Ridsdale and Blackburn’s Jake O’Horo, completed the season without a loss. They won all the games except 1 which was a 22-22 draw against Greater Manchester on their own tables. The competition was held between Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and 2 teams from West Yorkshire.
We also wish them well at the National’s in March.
Any youth player interested in playing for Lancashire should keep an eye on this website for details of the Lancashire Trials in early February.
U16s & U18s Lancashire Youth Grand Prix
Where you born in the years 1989-1991? … Enter the Lancashire U/21 GP and win a place into the Regional Finals to progress to the National Finals for a place in the European Championships in Malta in 2011…!!

Inter-County age restrictions apply (i.e. a player should be under 18 yrs old on the 31st Dec 2009)
Entry Fee: £5.00 per person
Start Time: Registration 10.30am; matches to start at 11.00am
Rules: Played to World 8-ball Pool Rules
Play: The trials will be played using the Swiss System, the best of 5 frames matches with each player having 3 lives
Dress Code: Dress code does not apply to this event
